Introduction

This magnificent hotel was born out of the work of Cesar Ritz, who devoted his life to defining the deluxe hotel business we know today. When his career began in 1886 the hotel industry was in its infancy; Ritz made his reputation by making his establishments an essential part of fashionable society. The London Ritz opened in 1906 and soon became the natural place to stay and meet for famous figures from the world of stage and screen, and for statesman, aristocrats and Royalty.

Location

The Ritz is perfectly situated within walking distance of the designer boutiques and auction houses of Bond Street and Jermyn Street, the private clubs of St James’s and London’s Theatreland. It’s unique aspect affords sweeping views across Green Park towards Buckingham Palace.

Bedrooms

No two rooms or suites at The Ritz are alike. Each has been individually decorated in Louis XVI style and feature white and cream walls – César Ritz insisted on the highest standards of hygiene and white walls meant that any marks were easily spotted. The Ritz’s prime location means that many rooms enjoy superb views across London. Deluxe rooms and suites provide the finishing touch for those requiring a tad more space. Other facilities include modem access in every room.

Restaurant

The magnificent Ritz Restaurant is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the world. A superb blend of classical cuisine with contemporary influences, whilst Afternoon Tea is an institution in itself and is served in the spectacular Palm Court. The Rivoli Bar, the newest addition to The Ritz London, is an art-deco style haven lending itself perfectly to a relaxed glass of bubbly at the end of a day, an impressive business lunch or afternoon tea. The hotel also boasts two well-appointed private dining/meeting suites, each with its own butler.
