Fourteen-year-old Elias lives with his parents Luk and Nathalie and older brother Maxime in the Belgian countryside. He is shy and reserved, not yet sure who he is or where he fits in. Elias is drawn to confident and outgoing new neighbour Alexander and the two boys form a strong bond. Slowly, Elias realises that he is in love with Alexander and he withdraws from his neighbour, good friend Valerie and family, fearful of the repercussions if he confronts his burgeoning sexuality.
