Zosia is a gifted young artist, who lives with her mother Roma and grandmother in a house in Warsaw, which is repeatedly under threat from greedy property developers. The three generations of women stick together to fend off these unwanted overtures. While Zosia is happily partnered, Roma is single and yearns for love. Out of the blue, the matriarch meets someone who turns her head. Blossoming romance forces the grandmother to conceal a dark secret from the past that could tear apart the family.
