In 2010, photographer Tim Hetherington and filmmaker Sebastian Junger released the documentary Restrepo, which charted the terrible human cost of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan through the eyes of a company of US soldiers as they ventured into the Korengal Valley. Shortly after the release, Hetherington was killed in Libya, photographing men and women who risk their lives in the name of freedom. This documentary pays tribute to the photographer and his work across various battlefields.
