Kaja and her younger sister Emilie are attending Utoya summer camp when news reaches the island of an explosion in Oslo. Staff and students believe they are safe. They are unaware that a gunman is heading for Utoya, intent on killing without mercy. Shots ring out and Kaja becomes separated from Emilie. Kaja meets a boy called Magnus on the shore and they huddle together, waiting for the nightmare to end. However, Kaja cannot rest without her little sister.
