Documentary about the hermetic existence of a man called Jake, who lives in a ramshackle house in the middle of a forest. The film is a revealing portrait of a bona fide outsider, who is at one with nature but completely separate from the rest of mankind. Without obviously intruding on Jake's solitude, the camera delights in the minutiae of the subject's day to day existence, from walks in the countryside to fishing trips on a loch using a crudely constructed raft.
