Florence lives in quiet domesticity in Montreal with husband David and their 10-year-old son, Max. The marriage has stagnated because David prefers to spend time with his plants. Neighbour Violette is facing a similar situation with her husband Benoit following the birth of their daughter. To spice up their day-to-day routines, the women begin to fantasise. When Florence acts upon one of these imagined scenarios with a tradesman, it lights the fuse on a sexual awakening.
