Tommy (15)

Tommy grows up without his father Captain Walker, a bomber pilot in the Second World War, who was apparently shot down and killed in action. The boy is raised by mother Nora and her new beau Frank. Late one night, a badly burnt Captain Walker returns to reclaim his family and a violent struggle ensues. Tommy witnesses the aftermath and is rendered mute. As Tommy grows up, he remains in a catatonic state until he discovers his calling and voice playing on a pinball machine.
