The Story Of The Weeping Camel (Die Geschichte Vom Weinenden Kamel) (U)

During the birthing season, a camel called Ingen Temee gives birth to a white calf called Botok, then promptly rejects the young animal. Ikchee and his wife Odgoo try everything to make the mother bond with her baby, to no avail. So, the herders despatch their sons Dude and Ugna to ride to the closest settlement, some 50km across the desert, and enlist the services of a musician. The family hopes that a traditional violin song will stir Ingen Temee’s mothering instincts and incite a reconciliation with young Botok.
