Impassioned trade union leader Michel works in a shipyard and is happily married to his wife of 30 years, Marie-Claire. He accepts redundancy with 19 co-workers and to commiserate, family and friends organise an anniversary party for Michel and Marie-Claire, presenting the couple with tickets to Tanzania so they can visit the famed Mount Kilimanjaro.
