The Metropolitan Opera Live: Wozzeck

William Kentridge directs a visually arresting production of Berg's harrowing masterpiece, which is broadcast live from the stage of the Lincoln Centre For The Performing Arts in New York under the baton of conductor Yannick Nezet-Seguin. This staging of Wozzeck updates the action to the volatile period before the First World War. Soldier Wozzeck is cutting firewood in the fields with comrade Andres when he experiences a shocking vision.
