Eritrean national Haile is discovered in the back of an articulated lorry, which arrived into the UK from Calais. He is brandishing a large knife and police officers arrest him on the spot. Haile wants to claim asylum and his case is passed to hardened immigration officer Wendy, who has a reputation for dealing with cases quickly and dispassionately. Wendy’s boss Philip expects her to pick apart his testimony for seeking asylum and expose potential links to terrorism.
