In 1998, Japanese TV producer Toshio Tsuchiya invited aspiring comedian Tomoaki Hamatsu aka Nasubi to live inside a small apartment and exist solely on sweepstake food prizes. Nasubi was blissfully unaware that his steady descent into delirium was being broadcast live to the nation. A feature-length documentary relives a strange-but-true moment in Japanese TV history including interviews with Nasubi and producer Tsuchiya about the project.
