Former Air Force pilot Captain Changjian Liu proudly serves passengers of Sichuan Airlines. On the morning of May 14, 2008, he takes charge of a routine flight from Chongqing to Lhasa. High above the Tibetan Plateau, the aircraft suffers a catastrophic failure: the windshields shatters and the co-pilot is sucked partially out of the cockpit. As passengers begin to lose consciousness, Liu has to call upon all of his years of flying experience to guide the plane to the nearest airport.
