The Alexandria Ceremonial Police Band accepts an invitation to play a concert in a remote Israeli town. Proudly led by conductor Tawfiq, the players take a plane and then a bus to their destination, only to discover they are not expected at all. Stranded with nowhere to eat or sleep, the musicians accept an offer from cafe manager Dina and the locals to stay the night. In the hours that follow, cultures clash, handsome Khaled teaches shy boy Papi a thing or two about seducing women and Tawfiq realises how much he misses the physical and emotional connection with another human being.
