This documentary travels to a beautiful forest on the outskirts of Paris, which is home to L’Arche – a commune founded by philosopher Jean Vanier in the 1960s to provide refuge to gentle souls, who had been locked away in asylums and dubbed ‘idiots’ because of their intellectual disabilities. The film traces the history of some of these residents including Andre, Michel, Patrick and Philippe, who have forged lifelong friendships in the forest idyll.
