In 2021, the whole of Canada was shocked by evidence of unmarked graves near St Joseph's Mission residential school, which indigenous children had been forced to attend from 1886 to 1981. Journalist Emily Kassie and old friend Julian Brave NoiseCat make a documentary about the Williams Lake First Nation investigation into the outrage. They interview survivors of the genocide and capture footage of brave, resilient families breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma.
