In 1953, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy tour the UK and Ireland with a stage show of skits that promises to let them “go out with a bang”. Theatre impresario and tour promoter Bernard Delfont is more interested in a “bright new talent” named Norman Wisdom than the duo, who bicker about betrayals of the past. Wives Ida Laurel and Lucille Hardy offer moral support as the tour continues and Oliver’s health suffers.
