Stalker makes a meagre living as a guide to a forbidden area known as The Zone, possibly created by an alien species. The government forbids all entry to The Zone – trespassers can be shot on site – but the lure is great because within the Zone, there is said to be a room possessing the power to grant wishes. A scientist and a writer enlist Stalker’s services to take them to this fabled room. However, the path is littered with potentially lethal pitfalls.
