Teenager Miles Morales struggles to connect to his police officer father Jefferson. He feels a greater affinity to his uncle Aaron, who indulges Miles’ love for street art by taking the lad into the sewers beneath New York to spray paint a mural. A radioactive spider descends from the dark and bites Miles on the hand, imbuing the high school student with incredible powers. Miles realises that he has inherited the same abilities as Spider-Man.
