Spaceship Earth (12A)

In 1991, eight men and women locked themselves inside Biosphere 2 in the Arizona desert. This vast, purpose-built glass dome was carefully populated with flora and fauna from around the world. The purpose of the grand experiment was to see if the eight men and women could maintain their self-contained ecosystem without interventions from the outside world. This documentary combines archive footage and present-day interviews with participants to explore the genesis and legacy of the project.
