Unbeknownst to his wife Teresa and young son Nicky, Joey Gazelle is a low level criminal who is employed to dispose of incriminating evidence, such as guns used in robberies. Joey hides the firearms in a secret niche in his home, but when one of the guns, used by Tommy Perello to kill a cop, goes missing, Joey's life spirals sickeningly out of control. Old friends turn against him, his family is targeted, and tenacious cop Detective Rydell vows to find the missing gun and put Joey behind bars once and for all. Joey is running scared and he doesn't know who to trust.
