Born in 1947 in London, British artist Penny Slinger drew inspiration from 1960s counter-culture in the capital to embrace her generation’s quest for sexual liberation through her ground-breaking collages and sculptures. She reinvigorated Surrealism from a feminist perspective. This documentary traces the rise of Slinger as part of the Kings Road art scene and her impact on contemporary artists, including contributions from Turner Prize nominees Jane and Louise Wilson.
