Twentysomething cartoonist Rakel drinks, parties, takes drugs and sleeps around, enjoying the flushes of her youth to excess. When her best friend Ingrid suggests she might be pregnant because of a slight weight gain, Rakel makes an appointment for an abortion. At the check-up, Rakel is shocked to learn that she is six and a half months into the pregnancy and a termination is no longer an option. Rakel must grow up quickly as she prepares for the arrival of a new life.
