Disgraced undercover cop Nick Tellis is thrown off the force after the investigation of a drug dealer culminates in the death of a pregnant mother. Months later, Tellis is lured back to the force by fellow cop Henry Oak, whose partner was recently slain during a bust. As Tellis becomes increasingly involved with the investigation, he discovers worrying evidence of corruption in the department, and suggestions of a cover-up.
