Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the hypochondriac giraffe and Gloria the hippopotamus hanker for a return to New York's Central Park Zoo. They leave their island retreat for the metropolis but draw the attention of tenacious Animal Control officer Captain Chantel DuBois and her cronies.
