Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the hypochondriac giraffe and Gloria the hippopotamus hanker for a return to New York’s Central Park Zoo. They leave their island retreat for the metropolis but draw the attention of tenacious Animal Control officer Captain Chantel DuBois and her cronies. To escape, Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria join a circus train and persuade Vitaly the tiger and Gia the jaguar that they are performing animals too.
