Leo is a 74-year-old lizard, who observes the world through the glass of a tank in a Florida elementary school alongside his best friend, a turtle named Squirtle. The pair have lived in the classroom for decades and, unbeknownst to the students, the two animals know how to talk. When the current intake of youngsters each take Leo home for a class assignment, the resourceful creature seizes the opportunity to help the children navigate their growing pains and overcome insecurities.
