A valentine to Calabria in Italy and the gentle ebb and flow of life over four seasons in the Pollino Mountains. An ageing goat herder tends to his flock while nursing a rasping cough that suggests this time on this earth is coming to an end. Every night, he drinks homemade medicine to ease the pain but eventually, the herder shifts his mortal coil and the film then continues the story with one of the old man’s kid goats against a backdrop of the picturesque region’s flora and fauna.
