Spirits supposedly protect the forest that encircles the village of Dakshina Kannada, on land gifted to local tribes more than 100 years ago to ensure peace and prosperity. Forest officer Muralidhar is fiercely protective of the verdant wilderness, which is the subject of a tug of war with Devendra. He hopes to intimidate villagers into selling him the land but local athlete Shiva and his friends loudly oppose the underhand tactics.
