A timely documentary about 82-year-old Claude Lorius and his pioneering work in the field of climate history. In 1955, Lorius replied to an advertisement and ventured to Antarctica with two fellow travellers. He discovered that air bubbles trapped in the pole icefields were time capsules. This gave birth to drilling operations that allowed Lorius and the scientific community to go more than 400,000 years back in our climate history.
