On August 30 2021, the US military completed its widely publicised withdrawal from Afghanistan. The Taliban assumed control and entered an American base in Kabul called Hollywood Gate, home to damaged weaponry and equipment including Black Hawk helicopters, jet fighters, small arms and munitions. Egyptian journalist Ibrahim Nash'at is granted limited access to the base as the Taliban rebuild Hollywood Gate and employ Hollywood-style propaganda to promote their standing in the world.
