In 1962, esteemed French New Wave director and film critic Francois Truffaut recorded 27 hours of interviews with Alfred Hitchcock for an exhaustive book entitled Hitchcock/Truffaut. This documentary relives these face-to-face encounters, intercutting some of the audio from Truffaut’s recordings with film clips and interviews with contemporaries, who have been influenced by Hitchcock’s work.
