Handsome twentysomething Joe Ridley is a part-time children’s entertainer, who always seems to be the life and soul of every party he orbits. He has funny voices, warm smiles and jokes for every occasion and that lust for life attracts Elly. She becomes his girlfriend but as the relationship deepens, Elly realises there is another side to Joe, which he strives to conceal from the outside world. He is struggling with depression, haunted by a childhood trauma that he cannot articulate.
