Formed in London in 1976, all-girl band The Slits pioneered the “punky reggae” musical movement and blazed a counterculture trail alongside The Clash and The Sex Pistols. Lead vocalist Ari Up died in October 2010 while she was making a behind-the-scenes documentary about the band. Writer-director William E Badgley takes this material alongside previously unseen footage, photographs and archive material to chart the personal histories of band members and their enduring legacy.
