Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Elliott Smith was a talented singer-songwriter, who was Oscar nominated in 1998 for his work on Good Will Hunting. He died in 2003 aged 34 from two stab wounds to the chest during production of his sixth studio album, From A Basement On The Hill. This documentary pays tribute to this influential talent by charting Smith’s journey through the three cities he called home – Portland, New York City, Los Angeles.
