Hawaii: Message In The Waves + Vanishing Of The Bees (U)

As a species, the honeybee pollinates one third of the Earth’s food supply, which in turn generates around £200 million to the ailing UK economy. Yet last year, a third of all of the hives in the UK were lost and around the world, populations of honeybees decline in their millions. As numbers of the winged creatures continue to plummet, this documentary surveys the effects on the ecosystem if the numbers of honeybees do not improve.
