Italian immigrant Mark Gentile has spent years chasing the American dream. He works as an executive in the car industry and has raised a daughter Laura with his loving wife Marina. On the spur of the moment, Mark decides to quit his job and return to his home village of Acerenza in Italy, which he left at the age of six. Marina and Laura can't join him at the drop of a hat so Mark embarks on a solo adventure to reclaim his grandfather's vineyard and discover the art of wine-making.
