Lise is a shy girl, who lives in Oslo with her parents. A spunky and curious boy called Nilly moves in next door and helps to bring Lise out of her shell. The children visit the home of Doctor Proctor, who has invented a powder, which induces loud yet thankfully odourless flatulence. Nilly and Lise try some of the powder and they discover that they can generate enough trapped wind to propel themselves into the air.
