Ted is a tour guide at the Bloomsberry Museum, which is under threat of closure to make way for a multi-storey car park. As a last ditch effort to save the museum, Ted agrees to help the owner, Mr Bloomsberry, by travelling to Africa to seek the lost shrine of the Zagawa tribe. Unfortunately, Mr Bloomsberry’s greedy son, who wants the museum to be bulldozed, sabotages the expedition and Ted ends up in the wrong place where he meets a cheeky monkey called George. When it comes time to sail back home, Ted bids a sad farewell to his new simian friend, only for George to stowaway aboard the ship.
