A documentary portrait of Christine Meeusen, a former communications business owner who was conned by her ex-husband and decided to reinvent herself as Sister Kate in the California town of Merced. Donning a nun’s habit even though she has no religious convictions or affiliations, Sister Kate exploits the state’s legalisation of medical marijuana by starting a company to supply the product. Her employees also dress in religious garb and her operation becomes known as the Sisters of the Valley.
