Retired army havildar Daniel Shekar is approached by police at a routine traffic stop and Sub-inspector Ayyappan Nair steps in to restrain and arrest a disorderly Daniel. Back at the station, news of Daniel's celebrity spreads and Ayyappan attempts to calm the situation but the former havildar's ego has been badly bruised and he sparks a bitter rivalry with the police officer which gradually spirals out of control.
