SUGARBABES former members, led by Mutya Buena, are out to take back the name of the band.

The current Sugarbabes outfit was left with none of the original line-up after Keisha Buchanan was forced out in September last year.
“The Sugababes have ended because there are no original people remaining,” said Buena.
“With none of the original members in there, it will be known as more of a brand name than for the singing.”
Now, along with the other original member – Siobhan Donaghy – Buena and Buchanan have applied to the European Trademarks Authority for ownership of the Sugarbabes name.
That raises the prospect of a juicy catfight as the actually-existing Sugarbabes have no intention of giving up their girlband title.
“Our record company owns the name so there’s no conversations about who owns the name,” said Heidi Range, who makes up the latest Sugarbabes incarnation along with Jade Ewen and Amelle Berrabah.
Buena has already been slammed for her legal move on Twitter, but defended her actions in distinctly non-legal terms:
“Can u f*** off please? U have no idea what u r talking about,” she said.
