The rapper and soccer star – who are close friends – are so addicted to the comfy footwear they are planning to launch their own line of the ‘house shoes’ when they retire from their respective careers.
Snoop said: “I got David a pair of slippers as a present and he took a picture of him wearing them and sent it to me. I was like, ‘They look cool!’
“We are talking about making a slipper together. So when I stop rapping and he stops playing soccer we can kick back and slip on a house shoe.”
Snoop – whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. – also revealed David’s wife Victoria is the “boss-lady” in the couple’s marriage and was initially apprehensive about letting her husband spend time with him.
He told the Daily Mirror: “I met Victoria one time, at the Live 8 concert in 2005. She didn’t like me much – she didn’t like my bad boy persona. All she knew was, ‘Snoop Dogg’s a bad guy. I don’t want my husband dealing with him – he’s going to rub off on my husband.’
“But now she’s seen my show, and I think I’m cool with her now that she knows I’m family orientated – that I have a structure and a wife. Now she knows I’m a great person to rub off on her husband.
“But Victoria’s the boss-lady in that relationship – that’s just how it is!”
