Sharon Osbourne enjoys saying ‘f**k you!’ to Simon Cowell

Sharon Osbourne admits she was “dumb” to quit The X Factor, but draws satisfaction from being able to say “F**k you!” to Simon Cowell.

The 59-year-old matriarch – who sat on the judging panel of the ITV1 show alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue from 2004 to 2007 – explained while she may have been foolish to walk away from such a lucrative position, she “wasn’t happy” working on the talent series.

She said: “It was a dumb move, but emotionally right. It was a huge show; it paid so well, so much came from it. But I wasn’t happy, so I walked away with dignity.”

Osbourne – who is the wife of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy – also admitted she decided to leave The X Factor so that show boss Simon Cowell could never have the “satisfaction” of replacing her with someone “young and perky-t*tted”.

She added in an interview with The Times newspaper: “Simon always ends up firing everyone. I didn’t want to give him that satisfaction. He always wants someone young and perky-t*tted sat next to him.”

However, the Talk host revealed while ITV bosses were keen for her to resume her place on the panel, the 52-year-old music mogul “wouldn’t let them” formally invite her back.

Sharon explained: “Simon wouldn’t let them and I don’t give a s**t ‘cos I can go, ‘F**k you’. He’s not a friend, but I don’t not get on with him. We lead very separate lives: I’m family orientated, he’s a mover and shaker.”
