Law’s spokeswoman confirmed the Hollywood trio will film Ledger’s remaining scenes in ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’, after the star died of an accidental drug overdose last month.
The movie sees Ledger’s character Tony transported into three separate dimensions, which he accesses via a paranormal mirror belonging to a travelling theatre troupe.
It is believed Depp, Law and Farrell will each portray Tony in different realms of the fantasy epic.
Production on Terry Gilliam’s film was suspended following Ledger’s death on January 22, just days after the ‘Brokeback Mountain’ star had filmed scenes in London.
It is not yet known when production will restart on the film, which is still due for release next year.
At the time of Ledger’s death the film’s producers hailed him as “a great actor, a great friend and a great spirit”.
