The Sex and the City star – who starred as PR expert Samantha Jones in the hit US TV show – will provide directions to owners of the GPS devices, it has been revealed.

As well as providing standard instructions, Kim will also say lines including, “This is the city, darling. Anything goes!” and “Don’t touch my Manolos!”

A spokesperson for TomTom said: “The idea is to add some spice to the ride, allowing drivers a fun and unforgettable journey.”

Jocelyn Vigreux, president of TomTom, added: “Celebrity voice downloads are one of the many features TomTom offers to our customers to personalise their driving experience.

“With Kim Cattrall’s voice helping them to navigate their trip, TomTom customers will not only travel safely and with less stress but will also be amused along the way.”

Kim’s voice will not come as standard on the machines, and interested users will have to pay $12.95 to download the special feature.

Other celebrities’ voices available on the systems include John Cleese, Dennis Hopper, Mr T and Burt Reynolds.
