The supermodel invited pals including boyfriend Jamie Hince and designer Sadie Frost to party at her new home in north London’s plush St John’s Wood in the early hours of yesterday.

The group sang songs from musicals The Phantom of the Opera and Hairspray as well as Spice Girl hits, much to the annoyance of Kate’s fellow residents.

One fumed: “They blasted out loud music and screeched over the top of it. Kate has been here just a week and is already upsetting people.”

However, the impromptu party could be one of Kate’s last wild nights for a while.

The catwalk beauty – who celebrated her recent 34th birthday with a marathon drinking session – wants to concentrate on spending quality time with five-year-old daughter Lila Grace.

A source close to Kate, who recently hired Sadie’s mother, Mary Davidson, as Lila’s new nanny – said: “She wants her and Lila to eat together at least twice a week. Kate is desperate to have more family time with her daughter this year.”

She has also taken up knitting to help curb her partying ways. The source added: “Kate is trying to keep her new obsession a secret as she thinks it’s seriously uncool. She carries her needles and wool hidden away in a designer Chanel bag.”
