Following a suggestion by head-banging Tory MP Mike Weatherley, Trooper ale is being stocked in the Commons’ Strangers’ Bar, which often sells guest ales to promote more lesser-known British products.
Weatherley told CMU: “As an Iron Maiden fan and an MP, it is a real treat to have this specialist ale as one of the guest ales in parliament.
Maiden – who are fronted by singer Bruce Dickinson – promoted Trooper during their set at Download Festival, where it was also on sale to revellers, last month.
