“We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer some of the most iconic costumes and props from the show,” said Bonhams’ Stephanie Connell.

As is only right, estimates for the goodies’ suits come in at a fraction of those for the baddies. You can pick up a coat worn by Rose Tyler, Billie Piper’s character, for about £700, while one of the Daleks is set to fetch £7,000.

People who grew up in the 70s might fancy the dashing velvet cloak, estimated price £650, as worn by Tom Baker. Or there’s the costume for one of Baker’s watery enemies that’s expected to pull in £2,500. To be fair, it always looked like they only made six Sea Devils.
